When Panagiotis and I envisioned the Caffè Freud initiative, the intention was simple: to create a space where people could pause, listen, and share what they’re going through — without masks or judgment. A place where everyday life could be approached with both depth and lightness. This project was born precisely from the meeting point between clinical work and my experience with Laughter Therapy.
Caffè Freud is not a lecture, nor a therapy session. It’s a conversation between human beings who take an hour for themselves and for others, in a warm environment, over a cup of coffee. We talk about emotions, dreams, desires, relationships — and even everyday doubts. And we do it with open hearts and smiles, because I believe that true lightness is one of the deepest forms of care.
The first meeting? Moving and authentic
Our first gathering surprised us. We didn’t really know what to expect, but the people who joined brought curiosity, sincerity, and a willingness to open up. We listened to stories, laughed together, asked questions, and created a climate of spontaneous and genuine trust.
It was wonderful to see how easy it can be to feel part of something — even with people you’ve just met — when space is given to dialogue and presence.
See you on July 15th at 7:00 PM
The next Caffè Freud will take place on Monday, July 15th at 7:00 PM. Participation is free, and each person will pay only for what they choose to drink. The venue will be announced shortly on our channels.
If you, too, feel the need to pause, breathe, listen, and share, this space is for you. Bring a question, a thought — or simply your presence. We look forward to welcoming you for an authentic, human conversation… and perhaps even a few laughs.
