Connected we laugh

Welcome to the World of Joy and Well-being!

COUNSELLING AND EMPATHETIC LISTENING

Counseling and empathetic listening go hand in hand. Participants discover new points of view by putting themselves in the interlocutor's shoes thanks to my facilitation. The exercises to be carried out are easy and extremely nutritious and open the door to unknown horizons of relationships with family, colleagues, friends.

LAUGHTER YOGA

“Gelotology (from the Greek “gelos” meaning laughter and “logos” meaning science) is the discipline that studies the science of laughter, with particular attention to its therapeutic potential. This type of approach began in the second half of the twentieth century and gradually spread all over the world.”

The precursor of this Science of Rice can be considered Norman Cousins, a very famous journalist and science communicator in the 60s. He recovered from ankylosing spondylitis (chronic inflammation of the spine) thanks to a treatment based on vitamin C, a healthy diet and daily laughter sessions. He recounts his experience in the book “Anatomy of a Disease”.

Laughter therapy is applicable in any circumstance in which discomfort is present, and is practiced in hospitals, nursing homes for the elderly, recovery communities, facilities that take care of people with special needs, prisons and wherever there are wars (e.g. refugee camps) or natural cataclysms have occurred.

Laughter therapy has its roots in PNEI (Psycho-Neuro-Endocrine-Immunology), a branch of medicine that has highlighted the direct relationship between emotions and the immune system. In fact, there are important links between the nervous, endocrine and immune systems. Substantial changes in one of them cause changes in the other systems as well, significantly improving an individual’s health conditions. It is now known, by numerous scientific researches, how laughter causes a positive effect on the immune level as, in addition to reducing the level of anxiety, it triggers a series of chemical processes in the body that allow the increase in the production of hormones that make us feel good such as Dopamine, Endorphins, Serotonin, Oxytocin.

Laughter is essential to bring out the child inside each of us with his desire to explore and play, bringing out his spontaneity and creativity.

However, it is not necessary to suffer from any kind of discomfort to practice this discipline: with a certain continuity, one hour a week for example, the benefits are not long in coming and it is suitable for everyone and at any age.

It was structured in the 90s by the Indian doctor Madan Kataria and has grown in a few years to more than a hundred countries in the world.

Despite the initial resistance that people face when they start practicing (it happened to me too...'), those who decide with curiosity to insist a little with the sessions, find a real general improvement in relationships, in the family, in the workplace.

PLAYFULNESS

According to psychiatrist Stuart Brown, founder of the National Institute of Play in the United States, humans are the most playful animal species of all, and we never stop playing throughout our lives. Playing is essential in childhood because it provides basic skills to be able to face life once adults. It is important for adults because it is one of the best tools to combat stress and therefore a panacea for our health. Stress is a silent killer that, among its many effects, manages to inflame our body and, when it is present in a prolonged and constant way, can lead to harmful consequences for our health. Imaginative and moving play can counteract this effect by also improving our mental well-being, helping us to develop optimism and increase our resilience, while strengthening our immune system.

GIBBERISH

“Gibberish” is a form of nonsensical language, composed of seemingly random sounds and syllables. It can be used for artistic, comedic purposes or as a communication tool, for recreational or therapeutic purposes.  These are vocal sounds that are not actual words, pseudo-words, language games, and specialized jargon that seems nonsensical to those who do not participate in the exercises.

JOYDANCE®

Joydance is a practice that combines body movement and creative expression to promote emotional and physical well-being. It is often associated with positive psychology and movement therapy, encouraging people to explore joy through free and spontaneous movement. Joydance can be practiced individually or in groups and aims to foster feelings of happiness, vitality, and connection with oneself and others.

PEDAGOGY OF JOY

The “Pedagogy of Joy” is a concept that emphasizes the importance of creating a joyful and positive environment in education. This approach encourages teachers to make learning fun, engaging, and meaningful for students, encouraging creativity, exploration, and collaboration. It is based on the idea that a joyful educational environment fosters student well-being and improves learning outcomes.

TUTTA UN’ALTRA VITA®

This method structured by Lucia Giovannini guides the user, through mindfulness exercises, to become aware of the limits that hold him back from freeing his inner resources. I like to call it an “Emotional Gym” whose effectiveness is proven by the years of experience of the creator.

CIRCULAR DANCE

Group dance that brings various psychophysical benefits and has its roots in the mists of time. It complements and brightens our being, promoting a sense of peace and brotherhood.
